All students depend on routine to thrive. In a brick and mortar school there are routine practices, routine procedures, routine drills, routine expectations and a routine schedule. Routine takes away any misconceptions on what the expectation is. It allows students to focus on the task at hand and flourish. At home, setting a routine is a must. Your teachers should have expressed their expected routine to the class. Screen time should be kept less than 2 hours a day. For every hour that a student who battles with ADHD experiences there is an increase in impulsivity and decrease in focus. The list goes on... Just as within school, set a routine that will work best for your child at home. Be meticulous, and list everything that you know your child should do daily. Then the hard part, do everything you can to stick to it. This will pay dividends toward your child's success.
