Career and Technical Education programs are planned course sequences of high quality academic core content and technical skills, which focus on a specific career cluster and prepare students to successfully transition toward their career goal.
There are 9 career pathways for CTE:

Engineering and Technology
Family and Consumer Science
Health Science

Manufacturing

What is Career ready? When a student who has prepared in a Career and Technical Education major has reached the benchmarks on WorkKeys or ASVAB and KOSSA or has achieved an industry certification.
A career ready student is a student who is a concentrator in a Career and Technical Education career pathway and has reached the technical benchmarks (CTE EOP or Industry Certification). Students that earn career or college readiness status will receive individual recognition. Articulated college credit may be available at various Kentucky universities for completion of a career pathway and dedicated CTE EOP exam or industry certification.
Concentrator Definition - A "concentrator" student is one who has completed two career and technical education courses in a career pathway program. Students who earn concentrator status will be tested with the CTE EOP the following spring unless the student has graduated.
Completion Definition - A “completer” is a student who has completed four career and technical education courses in a career pathway program.
