STATE FALL LEADERSHIP RALLY: Select officers and members attended the Fall Rally at Iowa State University in October. We learned about leadership skills, discovered some great ways to get involved in our communities, & got to test out the new Innovation Lab at Iowa State! It was a great day and we're excited to put our new skills to use!
DISTRICT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE: Select members competed in STAR Events at Districts in February. Bella Haleen & Alonnah Wadsworth competed in Chapter Review on Display. They shared an update on ALL the things Boone FCCLA has been up to this year (it's a lot!). They received a GOLD and qualify to compete at STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE in March.
DISTRICT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE: Select members competed in STAR Events at Districts in February. Alice Thiel competed in Fashion Construction. Alice estimates she spent over 120 hours working on her one of a kind piece. She will compete with her project at STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE in March. Way to go, Alice!
STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE: Bella Haleen & Alice Thiel along with Mrs. Hicks & Mrs. Meyers attended the State Leadership Conference in Cedar Rapids in March. Alice competed in Fashion Construction where she earned a gold rating and will compete at Nationals in Seattle this summer. Bella competed in Chapter in Review where she placed first place! Both ladies attended leadership sessions, learned a lot, and did an excellent job of representing Boone FCCLA!
NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, Seattle Washington: Mrs Hicks and Alice Thiel attended National Leadership Conference in Seattle in July. Alice competed in Fashion Construction where she earned a gold rating with an overall 3rd place finish. She plans to participate in Fashion Construction again next year where she hopes to attend Nationals in Orlando! Mrs Hicks was honored with a Chapter Advisor Honors award.
They both came back with lots of ideas and opportunities to share with the Boone FCCLA chapter this coming school year! You can check out a recap of all the fun and learning that went on here.
