Announcements

  • Fourth grade students will be taking the MEA Empower standardized assessment during the week of March 26-30. As with any standardized assessment, we encourage students to get a good night of sleep and have a healthy breakfast during the week of testing. There will be test make-up time the following week.
  • As a result of our mid-March storms, parent teacher conferences have been rescheduled to the week before April Vacation, April 9-13. Teachers will be sending out new sign-ups depending on availability.
  • Due to the recent inclement weather, the school board has voted to revise the school calendar. The Board voted to change the May 9 late arrival day to full school days. As of right now, the last day of school for students will be Friday, June 22nd. A revised school calendar can be found on the district website.
  • MSAD 6 has a New District Wellness Policy that limits what families are allowed to bring in for classroom celebrations. Please review before preparing treats to send into school with your child.
  • Here are some Snack Ideas that align with the district's new policy

#choosekind

As we embark on a 'wonder'ful journey into the life of Auggie Pullman through our inspiring first read aloud, Wonder, by RJ Palacio, the 4th grade teachers came together to share one of life's most important messages..."When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind."

This year, we will be focusing a great deal on sending this message, not only to our 4th graders, but to our school community and our surrounding community. Stay tuned, there's lots more to come as we #choosekind this year!

The entire 4th grade came together to brainstorm and create our 2017-2018 Shared Vision & Code of Cooperation. We are so excited to start our year off on such a positive note. We are confident these guidelines will lead us all to a fun and successful year!
