I am looking forward to another school year at Allen Avenue Elementary. I have been teaching here full-time for 8 years, and part-time for 3 years before that. I have a passion and love to work with students who are struggling and need support in the area of Reading. My credential and Masters are both focused in the area of teaching children to become lifelong readers. Prior to coming to Allen Ave. as a staff member, I was a full-time Mom of three boys who went through Allen Ave, and taught 2nd grade prior to being a mom. I was also privileged to be the PTA president for 2 years at Allen Ave. I have a lot of love for our campus and our students!
When I look back on my life, I remember going through elementary and not knowing how to read and finding all the excuses I could do to get out of reading. It was hard, and I would rather be outside! Today, my heart and passion is to make those students lifelong readers, who love falling into another world through a book!
My journey has allowed me to be more compassionate, and understanding of the struggles each child goes through while learning to read. Under the tab, PARENT SUPPORT, there are many tools to help you encourage and guide your child into becoming a more confident reader. I have learned that without the help of the parents, it takes the learning process even longer. So that is why I have added many tools to help support and guide you along this journey!
I am always just one click away! Please reach out if you have questions or concerns, for together we are better!

Hello! I’m so excited to be returning to Allen Avenue for another year of learning and growing. Previously, I taught Transitional Kindergarten for three years and one year of Reading Intervention within Bonita Unified. I know this year is going to be full of new challenges, but I assure I am dedicated to supporting your child in continuing to become a successful reader.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I received my bachelor’s degree in Communications, which has given me a unique view as to how we use reading, writing, and verbal communication to connect with each other. Recently, I also completed my Master of Science degree in early childhood education and curriculum. I believe early intervention and support is imperative to getting children to become create lifelong learners. As a struggling student myself and the daughter of a dyslexic, I believe meeting students’ needs with academic support and empathy can make all the difference in their educational career.
Outside of teaching I am a proud mom of two daughters who are also currently in elementary school. We keep busy with dance, gymnastics, trips to the beach, and Disneyland. I love being a part of the Bonita community and am beyond grateful that I get the privilege of helping our community grow stronger and smarter together!
