About Me
Hi and welcome,
This is my second year as assistant principal of Golden Sierra HS, and it has been an honor to work with students, staff, parents, and the community to improve school culture and academic progress for all students. I pride myself on providing transparency and availability to support the development and growth of your child.
Prior to my work in administration, I had taught at Golden Sierra for 5 years as a special education teacher. Prior to this, I worked in a variety of special needs schools in Australia (my home country, G'Day!). I have always enjoyed working with students with diverse needs and helping them meet their individual needs toward becoming independent, high-achieving adults.
When I am not Mr. Nicholson the teacher, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and playing live music!

Course Offerings
English Skills- This class works on individual foundational English skills in reading, writing and comprehension. Students will utilize Unique learning system curriculum that will be tailored to individuals learning needs and map their progress weekly.
Math Skills- This class works on developing students individual needs in Mathematics. Students will use a mixture of online programs and direct instruction, with the focus of developing life long numeracy skills needed for independence.
History/Science Skills- Differentiated science and history classes aligned to CCSS at individual levels.
Social skills- This program will work on independent living skills and community living skills necessary for students to participate in the community safely.
