Hello there,
Here’s a guide on how to earn more while driving on Bolt through scheduled rides.
What are Scheduled Rides?
Scheduled Rides allow clients to book a trip in advance. This helps you know about future deliveries, allowing you to plan and maximize your earnings.
How scheduled rides work:
Notification in Advance: You’ll receive notifications about scheduled deliveries in advance, allowing you to accept and plan for these trips.
Flexibility in Accepting: Scheduled rides are optional, so you can choose to accept or decline based on your availability.
It costs 35%/40% more compared to on-demand rides. You’ll keep receiving on-demand ride requests before the scheduled ride.
We’ll filter out on-demand deliveries that might be difficult to complete in time to keep your acceptance rate safe. All on-demand deliveries will only be deliveries heading in the direction of your Scheduled delivery pick-up.
We’ll also look for trips that will take you closer to the scheduled ride pickup location.
How to Accept Scheduled Rides on the Bolt Driver App
Before going online, tap on the New Scheduled Requests banner on the home screen. Alternatively, you can tap on the menu icon (3 horizontal lines) > Scheduled requests.
Scroll to find the suitable request(s) and tap Accept.
3. Your scheduled ride(s) will now be listed under the menu icon (3 horizontal lines) > Scheduled requests > Accepted.* You will see the fixed price, time, and required time to go online on the specific Accepted trip.
4. You must be online by the set time specified on the Accepted trip to verify that you are ready to fulfill the scheduled request. Otherwise, the ride will be allocated to another available driver.
5. From this point forward, you are only offered new requests that won’t overlap with your scheduled ride and remain in its vicinity.
6. Be mindful of your proximity to the requested pick-up location so you know when to start moving toward it. Tap on ‘Start driving’ on the home screen when you’re ready to start heading there.
7. Tap on ‘Arriving’ when you’re at the pickup point.
8. Once you have arrived, the client will have 5 minutes to show up after the scheduled start of the ride.
9. Tap on ‘Start the trip’ only after the client has given you the package.
Things to Note:
The scheduled wait time of 5 minutes will be counted only from the scheduled start of the ride. In case you arrive earlier, the extra time spent waiting is not compensated.
For you to be selected to receive Scheduled Rides on the Bolt Driver App, your finish rate should be >50%.
Tips
Always ensure to be punctual: Arriving on time boosts client satisfaction and can lead to higher ratings.
Fewer Cancellations, More Earnings: Accepting rides you’re sure you can fulfill helps prevent cancellations and keeps your acceptance rate high.
Plan with the scheduled rides feature and let your earnings grow.
