Dates: Weekly Sessions- June 8â25, July 13-30
Students explore the outdoors while creating a Backyard Survival Journal filled with plant photos, observations, and research on medicinal and survival uses. Through scavenger hunts, nature exploration, and outdoor challenges, students learn awareness, observation, and how to better understand the world around them.
Students design and build dome-shaped primitive shelters using flexible willow branches, natural materials, and teamwork. This week focuses on creativity, engineering, resilience, and problem solving through hands-on outdoor building challenges.
Students learn fire safety, practice fire-starting methods, survival cooking basics, and the science behind building and maintaining a fire. Outdoor challenges and team activities help students develop patience, responsibility, and practical wilderness skills.
Students explore filtration, purification, hydration, and heat management through hands-on experiments and survival scenarios. The week combines science, outdoor exploration, and practical problem solving in a fun and memorable way.
Students learn map reading, compass skills, navigation games, and survival missions while completing outdoor team challenges and scavenger hunts. The week encourages leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork through adventure-based learning.
Students learn practical homesteading and outdoor living skills including chicken care, egg collection, gardening, composting, food systems, and daily stewardship responsibilities. Through hands-on experiences, students gain confidence, responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for sustainable living.
At BOLD, summer isnât about keeping kids entertained or filling time until school starts again. Itâs about growth, momentum, and meaningful experiences that challenge students to think, lead, create, and explore.
While many students experience the âsummer slide,â BOLD students continue building confidence and strengthening academic skills through a focused, mastery-based learning approach designed to help them make real progress at their own pace.
Each day begins with time in the Word and intentional conversations that help students grow in their relationship with Jesus and build strong character. After a recess break, students jump into a focused 2-Hour Learning Block using personalized, adaptive learning tools that help close gaps, strengthen foundational skills, and keep students academically engaged without spending all day in a desk.
The rest of the day is filled with hands-on experiences designed to develop:
leadership
creativity
teamwork
outdoor skills
resilience
life skills
real-world problem solving
Students will build shelters, explore nature, solve challenges, care for animals, create, collaborate, and learn through experiences theyâll remember long after summer ends.
This is more than childcare.

More than busy work.
Itâs a summer experience intentionally designed to help students grow in wisdom, confidence, responsibility, leadership, and purpose.
