He is a lifelong Fairhaven resident with an extensive customer service and management background. How to get a real estate license in Massachusetts
To become a real estate agent in Massachusetts, you must first get your Massachusetts real estate license. The process of getting your real estate license general takes a few months and includes the following steps:
- Enroll in a MA real estate school
The first step to getting your real estate license is to enroll in a real estate school and complete a 40 hour real estate pre-licensing course.
2. Pass the course final exam

Once you have completed the 40 hour pre-licensing course, you must pass a course exam that will help prepare you for the state exam. The exam consists of 120 multiiple choice questions for the salesperson license with a minimum passing score of 70%
3. Complete the background check

You may need to submit a background check to verify your identity and right to work as a real estate agent in Massachusetts.
4. Apply for your MA real estate license

Submit your application online by filling out the relevant form with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons, either electronically or via mail.

Licensing exams are conducted by PSI Examination Services. You must make a reservation with PSI no less than 24 hours before your examination date. You will be expected to provide a non-refundable examination fee.
