About

The TATERS Seminar welcomes the community of students, faculty, and researchers in mathematics at Boise State University to engage with current research developments in all areas of pure mathematics as well as expositions of mathematical notions not taught in standard courses. Lectures are presented by invited visitors, Boise State mathematics faculty, and students. The seminar provides opportunities for students to broaden their mathematical experience and to find exciting topics for theses and research projects.

The TATERS Seminar at Boise State University is organized by Zach Teitler <zteitler@boisestate.edu> and Jens Harlander <jensharlander@boisestate.edu>.

The TATERS Seminar arose from combining the Topology Seminar and the Algebra, Geometry, Cryptology (AGC) Seminar, in Spring 2020. The AGC Seminar started around 2010. The long-running Topology Seminar started years earlier than that.

Everybody interested is welcome to attend and participate! Enrollment for credit is not required. We welcome students to attend and present in the seminar. Attending seminars and colloquium presentations is an excellent way to learn about research topics and senior thesis topics.

Seminar announcements are sent to math department faculty and graduate student mailing lists. All other interested participants may contact zteitler@boisestate.edu to be added to the seminar mailing list.
