PORTFOLIO

_____________________

Hi, I'm Kat. I design solutions to improve workplace performance by using empathy and systems thinking.

_____________________

Welcome to my portfolio. I am a graduate student studying Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) at Boise State University. I am passionate about people- doing right by them, helping them grow, and collaborating to make things happen. My greatest strength is my ability to connect people, places, and things. I believe that using empathy and strategy in our interconnected world can help improve our relationships, systems, and organizations.

My educational background is in Human Resource Management where I fell in love with recruiting and training and development. I come with 8 years of experience working in Higher Education and Undergraduate Admissions, at both public and private institutions. I have collaborated with admissions officers across the country to design enrollment strategies and evaluate applicants holistically in order to shape culture and enrollment. As a higher education professional and a human performance improvement practitioner, I strive to solve performance problems using both systematic and systemic methods. Every step I take considers equity, inclusion, and accessibility. The driving force behind why I do, what I do, is to help move the needle to widen access to education, help improve our systems that disproportionally serve marginalized identities, and close equity gaps within higher education.

Within this portfolio, you will find information about my work experience, highlighted work samples, and academic accomplishments I have completed during my time in the OPWL program. As you get to know me, I hope we can connect professionally to help solve key organizational problems that impact higher education, our world, and the greater good!
