Thomas Van Der Weide

Thomas received his Master’s Degree in Geophysics at Boise State University in Fall 2019 and his interest in water resource management and Remote Sensing technologies led him to the CryoGARS lab where he began working as a Research Scientist shortly after graduating. His current research is based around using UAV’s to collect remote sensing observations of the seasonal snowpack. Thomas is also interested in educational outreach and has a love for working with and building all kinds of electronics, particularly related to environmental monitoring for scientific applications.
