Anna Bergstrom

Assistant Professor

Anna is an assistant professor in the Geosciences Department at Boise State. She is a watershed hydrologist and biogeochemist working in glacier and snow dominated watersheds. She employs a combination of field, remote sensing, modeling, isotopic, and water chemistry methods. She works on everything from energy balance modeling of glacier ice in Antarctica as it relates to sediment undergoing freeze thaw weathering to how the changing rain and snow lines in the mountain west will impact streamflow timing, source, and quality. She completed her PhD with Dr. Michael Gooseff at University of Colorado- Boulder, her MS with Dr. Kelsey Jencso at University of Montana, and BS in Land Resources and Environmental Sciences at Montana State University.
