ACAD 101 is a university course offered through the AASC. This special topics course focuses on the development of
academic skills, life skills, attitudes, and habits necessary for college success. Selected topics may include the transition
to university life for specific groups of students (such as veterans, athletes, international students, high-school students,
and non-traditional students), exploration of campus resources and opportunities, time management and basic study
skills, and math success strategies. Courses (but not topics) may be repeated for up to five total credits.
CLO1. Understand university and major specific graduation criteria; create a graduation plan.
CLO2. Identify campus resources, academic and cultural expectations, and opportunities for engagement.
CLO3. Analyze and evaluate current values, habits, and behaviors related to academic success. Create plan to maximize strengths and make improvements in areas for growth.
CLO4. Implement strategies proven to increase efficiency and effectiveness in learning and retaining information.
