The Goodwill Program was created by ACE to assist Boise State’s Classified employees whose paychecks aren't large enough to cover the cost of food between paychecks and who identify as food insecure. ACE defines food insecurity as the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate/sufficient food to meet one’s basic needs. All areas of this process including receipt of applications, letters sent, and individual donations to the program are confidential. Any communication about the Goodwill program will only be conducted via official university employee email. The following linked application includes a description of how recipients can use Goodwill funds.
Assistance is available to full-time, regular status employees who identify as food insecure. Part-time and temporary employees are not eligible.
Eligible classified employees need to apply monthly to continue to receive Goodwill funds.
Each individual must fill out the form and choose to opt-in to receiving goodwill funds to receive them, no employee can apply on behalf of another employee.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. the last calendar day of the month in order to receive funds for the following month. (Example. Submissions by 5 p.m. on Oct. 31st make the cutoff for November funds.)
Free, confidential, short-term counseling services are available for eligible employees and their families to address personal and work-life issues.
