As a school social worker I support students academically and socially. I provide social, emotional and academic interventions and connect students and families to community resources. In addition, I promote and support student success through:

Crisis intervention (including rent/homelessness/utility help)

Counseling services, support and case management

Develop/facilitate/coordinate prevention activities and intervention strategies

Work with students individually and in small groups

Collaborate with school personnel to assess student's social/emotional obstacles to academic success

Provide home visits/meet with families to understand and address barriers to learning

Link students and families with school and community resources
