School Boundary Information & Open Enrollment

Whittier Elementary serves students through their 6th grade year.  This page is meant to help students and parents navigate the transition from elementary to junior high school.  A majority of our 6th grade students attend North Junior High or Riverglen Junior High.  

Your home junior high school is based upon your address of residence.  Please review the following links if you have questions about school boundaries or open enrolling to a junior high outside of the boundary in which you reside:

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)

7th grade students have the opportunity to apply to the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program.  The AVID program is available at all Boise junior highs.  Learn more about AVID. 

Treasure Valley Math and Science Center (TVMSC)

7th grade students have the opportunity to apply to the Treasure Valley Math and Science Center (TVMSC).  The following link will provide you with the information necessary to apply:
