Les Bois Snow Riders
(click the link for all you need to know!)
Welcome to the Les Bois Snow Riders Club!
If you like (or would like to try!) skiing, snowboarding or Nordic skiing, this is the place for you!
The goal of Snow Riders is to provide an opportunity for students to compete in a life sports activity while representing their school. Students who participate in at least three Saturday events at Bogus Basin from January 11 - February 15 will qualify for the final event on Friday, February 21: Dotty Clark.
The membership fee this year for Snow Riders is $20.00 per student-athlete (cash or check payable to Boise Schools Education Foundation). The money is used to pay our school entry fee to Bogus Basin and for busing to/from the Dotty Clark race for qualifying athletes at the end of the season.
To qualify for Dotty Clark, athletes must compete in a minimum of three Saturday races. Athletes are responsible for getting themselves to Bogus Basin on Saturdays but will be provided transportation to Dotty Clark since it takes place on a Friday.
Alpine competitors who do not have a Bogus Basin season pass can purchase a discounted lift ticket for $29 plus tax ($30.74) on race-day Saturdays with their Les Bois picture ID card. Passes are only good for race day and members must race that day to be eligible for a discounted ticket. For racers who need to rent equipment, Bogus Basin gives a $4 discount on full rental packages with a school picture ID card. *Helmets are required for all downhill events.
There is no fee for the Nordic/cross-country competition and equipment rental during the race is free.
