I have been a school counselor for 19 years and I cherish my role of supporting students, families and teachers in the Boise School District.

My interest in teaching youth began at the University of Wisconsin- Madison long ago. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I spent 2 years in the Bay Area directing a YMCA youth program and driving a school bus in downtown San Francisco! After living, traveling & exploring the world for the next 2 years, my husband and I moved to Salt Lake City where we skied, hiked and camped while working on our graduate degrees at the University of Utah-SLC.

We then moved to Portland where we spent hours hiking in the Columbia gorge, the Cascade mountains, and along the beautiful coast. During our time in Portland, I worked as a counselor in a junior high and we were blessed with our first child who is now 15!! In 2012, we moved to Boise and I joined the Boise School District as a part-time elementary school counselor. Three years ago I joined the Riverside family, and my heart is content. I love working with your children, and feel grateful for everyday I get to come to work!

When I am not working in schools you can find me enjoying a good cup of coffee, traveling, hiking, biking, camping, snowboarding, reading (non-fiction is my favorite), playing with my family, and brushing up on my mindfulness practice (something I hope to share with your children).
