Meet The Coaches

Assist. Coach Marisa

Hello! My name is Marisa Moore and I am currently a student at Boise State, seeking a bachelors in Social Work and a minor in Family Studies. As a Boise native I have always loved giving back to my community, so I was thrilled when Coach Hovan asked me to be one of her assistant coaches.

I started cheering as an 8th grader at Riverglen Jr. High and then I cheered on the varsity team at Capital High School. I love Cheerleading and have missed it immensely since I graduated. While I did not pursue cheerleading in college, I am grateful for the opportunity to inspire, coach, and uplift the next generation of cheerleaders. Go Vikings!!

Head Coach Aimee Hovan

Hi! I'm your Head Coach Aimee Hovan. I'm a Boise native and currently your Assistant Librarian at North Jr. High. This is my second year coaching the cheerleading squad and I love getting to build our program into the best in the district!

I am married and have 3 amazing kids. My husband Drew works for St. Alphonsus Hospital, my son Jacob attends Riverglen Jr. High and my twin daughters, Lessa and Keira attend Pierce Park Elementary.

I am a graduate of Boise State University and have a degree in History, Secondary Ed. I am a RABID BSU Bronocos Fan! Watch the games and see if you can spot me in the SEZ with the crazy Blue Crew!

I love history, especially English history and can't wait until I can travel back across the pond to visit the British Isles again.

When I'm not currently keeping the library up and running or chasing the cheerleaders around I love to read, draw, hangout with my sister, watch baseball (Go Cubbies!) go for long walks and just relax.

Assist. Coach Siena

Hi! I'm Siena Everhart, your assistant coach.

I'm entering my 3rd year at BSU, my hometown university, and I am a marketing major!

I began my cheering in the eigth grade for Riverglen Jr. High and wrapped up my cheer career on the Varsity Team at Capital High School.

I'm thrilled to be assistant coaching for a second year, here at North Jr. High! I really enjoy making connections with each athlete and watching their growth througout their cheer career. As these young athletes prepare to enter adulthood, I believe this sport can aid in teaching real life lessons as well as learning to uplift the community and each other. Coaching our next generation of cheerleaders ignites my passion and it gives me great honor to be in this position, ensuring they each have a positive and uplifting experience.

While cheer and school are my main priorities, when I'm not coaching or studying, you can find me hanging out with my besties or snuggled up with Bean, my kitty, and an episode of Gray's Anatomy!
