Hello!
My name is Toni Gorton and I graduated with my Bachelors Degree from Grand Valley State University in 2010 and received my Masters in Educational Technology in 2017 from the University of Central Michigan. Before moving to Boise, Idaho, I spent 4 years teaching in Michigan and 1 year teaching in Germany. This school year I will be teaching German 1, 2, 3 (GERM 102), as well as US History 11.
During the 2016-2017 I organized the first exchange program between Capital and a high school in Heidenheim Germany. During the summer of 2017, I took 9 students on a two week exchange to Germany where we lived with host families and traveled all around southern Germany. Now at Boise High School, I will be continuing the GAPP exchange. During the 2022-2023 I have partnered with Borah High and we will be traveling to Germany in June of 2023. Students from Boise, Borah and Capital High school are participating in the 2025 GAPP exchange. We traveled to Germany for all of June 2025 and our partners will be coming to Boise August-September this year!
Besides travel, my hobbies include hiking, rafting and camping. While I spent most of my life in Michigan, Idaho is my forever home. I very much love being a Brave and living in Boise, Idaho.
I am looking forward to another amazing year!
