Borah AVID students created Lions' Den in 2012 after students expressed concerns about not having computer access and quiet homework spaces at home. The program has evolved each year to meet changing student needs. NHS tutors joined the program a year later and have been providing one-to-one homework help since.

With the changing requirements of social distancing and school safety protocols, managing an in person, student led, after school tutoring program has been made more complicated. To keep students safe, we have elected to move Lions' Den to a virtual setting and will continue to reevaluate student needs and the year progresses.
