Liberty takes pride in celebrating Red Ribbon Week and helping our students make healthy, drug-free choices! 

This year’s theme is “If there’s a problem, yo I’ll solve it — stayin’ drug-free, that’s how I resolve it!” During counseling lessons, students will learn how Red Ribbon Week began, how staying drug-free helps us solve problems, and all the fun activities planned for the week.

As part of our celebration, we’ll have a special assembly featuring the BSU Line Dancing Club! College students will teach our students some fun line dances—a great way to get to know others, move our bodies, challenge our brains, and get excited about their future.

15. Jason McGatlin - In 2023 Liberty students had the privilege of hearing from Jason McGatlin for our Red Ribbon Week Assembly. Jason is the executive producer of many Star Wars films, including Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Rogue One: a Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Solo: a Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker, to name a few. I grew up with Jason and asked him to speak with Liberty students because he exemplifies persistence and accomplishment. Jason stayed away from drugs and is living his dream (he made movies with his twin brother as a child). It was an honor to have Jason speak to Liberty students!
