Academic Planning
Beginning in 8th grade, students are required to complete a graduation plan sometime in January before pre-registering for high school. Counselors will initiate the graduation plan as a lesson in the classroom. In addition, a parent presentation will be provided to all parent email contacts to assist parents with understanding graduation requirements, provide tools for career and college exploration, and provide options for questions parents may have regarding academic planning. Completed graduation plans are stored in the student's Google drive account so they can make revisions at any time. Parents and students should understand that the graduation plan is an academic planning tool, it will not register students in courses. Registration takes place in February each year, where students will login to the registration portal in IC and select classes (we strongly suggest they follow their graduation plan when doing so).
