9th Grade Band
Who Are We?
The 9th grade band is made up of fourth and fifth year players. These students make up some of the top band students at Les Bois Jr. High. We will spend the year continuing to refine our ensemble etiquette, ensemble and individual technique, and expand our music vocabulary and range. We will also work to learn and memorize all major and minor scales this year in preparation for band next year at Timberline High School.

Playing Tests & Assignments
What and Why?
Playing Tests are designed to help the students grow individually. Each band at Les Bois will have a weekly playing test over scales, rhythms, or concert music. This material will be covered in class, but students are expected to put the practice time in at home so that the ensemble as a group can grow. Below you will find the rubric for the playing test.
