Attendance is mandatory at all scheduled practices, games, fundraisers, and other functions. Absences must be submitted by a PARENT via the form on the cheer website AHEAD OF TIME. You are expected to be on time, every time unless it's an emergency.
Upon reaching 3 absences or tardies the cheerleader will be benched for a game. After sitting out, your count will restart. If at any point the coaches feel this becomes excessive, this could result in removal from the team. Due to the nature and safety of stunting and formations, it’s important you are there to support your team in your position.
Other school events that require you to be gone will not count against you.
Cheerleaders need to arrange transportation home from games and events. Coaches wait for a maximum of 15 minutes with the cheerleaders. If there is not another after school activity happening, the administration will be notified after 15 minutes that a cheerleader is still waiting. Please be courteous with everyone's time.
Should you choose to quit the team or are removed at any point, you are not eligible to try out for the following year.
You are allowed to participate in 1 other sport during the cheer season as long as you are able to learn the materials on your own so you can be prepared when you return to cheer. Please be aware, if you are elected and accept a position as a cheer captain, this option is not available to you. You are expected to be available to help run the team all year long.
