Tryouts November 2nd-3rd

“Joy - Believe - Compete”

Joy, believe, and compete are more than just words; they define how we show up every day, both on the basketball court and in life. Joy is the foundation of everything we do. It reminds us to love the game, to celebrate each other’s successes, and to find energy even in the hardest practices. When we play with joy, we become unselfish, resilient, and connected as a team. That same mindset carries into life, where choosing joy helps us stay positive, build strong relationships, and appreciate the journey, not just the outcome.

Believe is what pushes us beyond our limits. In basketball, belief means trusting in your preparation, your teammates, and yourself - even when the scoreboard isn’t in your favor. It’s the confidence to take the shot, make the play, and step up in big moments. Off the court, belief becomes the voice that tells us we are capable of achieving our goals, overcoming challenges, and growing through adversity. When we truly believe, we unlock potential we didn’t know we had and inspire those around us to do the same.

Compete is the standard we hold ourselves to in everything we do. It’s not just about winning: it’s about effort, toughness, and refusing to back down from a challenge. Competing means giving your best every single day, holding yourself and your teammates accountable, and embracing hard work. In life, that same competitive spirit drives us to chase our goals, push through obstacles, and strive for excellence in all areas. Together, joy, believe, and compete shape who we are: a program and a community committed to growth, strength, and purpose.
