Welcome
Welcome to the Boise High History Museum, a living testament to the spirit, history, and achievements of this remarkable school. The museum grew from the vision of a dedicated teacher and students, and through countless volunteer hours by Boise High alumni. Their collaboration has created a space that honors generations of students and staff, celebrates shared memories, and stands as a source of pride for the entire Boise High community and beyond.
Boise High’s history comes alive through treasured memorabilia—Couriers, trophies, photographs, and more—carefully preserved and thoughtfully displayed. What was once tucked away in an archive room, or in some cases saved by alumni, now celebrates the students, staff, and achievements that have shaped the school. The museum not only honors the past but also inspires pride and connection across the entire Boise High community, linking generations and keeping our shared stories vibrant for years to come.

Museum Introduction
Braves to B.R.A.V.E
In August 2019, after years of internal debate, the Boise School District Board of Trustees accepted a proposal to change Boise High School's mascot by dropping the "s" from Braves. Simply, Brave. The change came after the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe wrote the Idaho Legislature, asking it to ban Native American mascots from Idaho schools.
The school stopped using its Native American mascot costume for sporting and other events during the 2015-2016 school year.
After working with the tribes, students, faculty, alumni, patrons, and the school's parent support board, a new logo for Boise High School was introduced in September 2019.
The new logo includes a shield centered around the letter B. A Greek column along the B's spine represents strength and support while echoing the school's architecture. Surrounding the letter are four Greek words that are carved above the entrance to Boise High, which translate to Wisdom, Justice, Temperance and Courage. Olive laurels, which are historic symbols of victory from civics to academics to athletics, surround the entire logo.
