Volunteer at the Idaho Food Bank!

The Idaho Foodbank is an independent, donor-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1984, and is the largest food bank and distributor of free food assistance in Idaho. From warehouses in Boise, Lewiston and Pocatello, the Foodbank distributes food for millions of meals each year through a network of over 400 community-based partners across the state.

Volunteers power The Idaho Foodbank. It’s as simple as that. Volunteers ensure that our food gets packed out the door to be distributed to Idahoans in need. Many of our partner agencies who directly distribute to those in need are also completely run by volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Discovery Center of Idaho!

The Discovery Center of Idaho  wants to invite all high schools with students who enjoy learning in those topics like education and STEM or wanting to make an impact in their community to apply to our Volunteer Program.

Our volunteer opportunities are two hours long each and range from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. The tasks will consist of standing for the two hours and providing guidance, knowledge, and support to the community as they enjoy the center. Volunteering provides the opportunity for an individual to rapidly increase their knowledge in a topic while influencing the community around them.

Volunteer at the Idaho Youth Ranch!

The Idaho Youth Ranch has a few upcoming projects where we need small to medium sized groups to help us!

Ongoing (Boise): We need small to medium sized groups that want to help us process jewelry! Our volunteers will sort through all the fancy items, pair earrings, and get it on the cards to send to the store for sale. Fun activity for a team to visit and help a good cause! We can work with you Monday – Saturday between 8am and 6pm.

Ongoing (Treasure Valley Stores): Our thrift stores and warehouse can always use your help! Small to medium sized groups are great! (up to 20 in the warehouse, 15 in the stores). We need your help to sort, categorize, colorize and straighten our merchandise on our sales floor!
