- Clear finger control in both hands
- Left hand - use all fingers and stay in position
- 5th fret and higher - use 1 finger per fret
- Clean sounds (no buzzing)
- Right hand - middle and index fingers used (alternating)
- Correct posture (preferably standing) and hand position
