5. REFRACTION AND COLOUR

TASKS

1) Experiment with the 'Bending Light' gadgets below.

2) Create a document (eg google slide show or google doc) that shows:

- A light ray refracting as it goes from say air to glass, with the angle of incidence and the angle of refraction labelled.

- The order of the colours formed when a white light ray is refracted by a prism.

3) Open the documents below ('Light Words - Refraction' and 'Light Words - Colour') in google docs, save a copy in your Science folder and complete the documents by answering the questions.

1) Watch the videos below.

2) In your document, explain why the light splits into colours when it goes through the prism.

3) Put an explanation of how a rainbow forms into your document.
