Year 7 Activity Camp will be during the week commencing 16th June. Which days your child attends depends on which house your child is in.
Attenborough, Curie and Hawking- 16- 18 June 2025
Nightingale, Parks and Turing- 18- 20 June 2025
The cost of the trip is £202. This includes all food for the week (excluding lunch on the first day), hire of the tents, instructors and transport to and from the camp.
Year 7 Activity Camp is held in the New Forest at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Camp.

Your child will spend 3 days and 2 nights at the camp.
Students will sleep in tents which can accommodate 2-3 students.
Students will have access to a toilet block and showers.
Students will do the activities in their tutor group (groups of approximately 12 students).
Students will be able to choose who they share a tent and this does not have to be a member of their tutor group.
Students will take part in a wide range of activities including:
Climbing
Raft Building
Team Building challenges
Zip Line
Shelter building
Archery.
*Please note that theses activities follow a timetable and not all of the activities are included.
The majority of the activities are lead by Ferny Croft Staff, however there are some that are lead by Bohunt staff.

An example of a day's food is as follows:
Breakfast- Cereals, Toast, Hash brown and Bacon wrap, fruit juices.
Lunch- A selection of wraps/ sandwiches, packet of crisps, pieces of fruit.
Dinner- Spaghetti Bolognese, waffles.
*All food is catered for by a professional catering company, who are able to cater for all dietary needs. If you child does have a dietary need, please ensure you have included this on the medical form.
Please ensure that you include any relevant medical needs of the Medical Form.
This is checked prior to the trips going and we will be in contact if we need to discuss anything further.
If something changes in between filling in the form and the trip going, please email outdoors@bohunt.hants.sch.uk, so that the form can be updated.
No, students need to leave their phones at home. This is to ensure they fully immerse themselves in the activities and enjoy being in the outdoors. If your child does bring their phone, it will be collected in at the start of camp, and kept in a secure location.
Should you need to contact your child at any point throughout the camp, you can do so, using the emergency contact numbers that will be sent out prior to the trip.
