Did you know
You can check out Chromebooks and Chargers for one day.
You can use Infobase and Ebscohost to locate thousands of peer-reviewed academic articles on anything from the sciences to history and all that resides in between.
You can access over 98,000 digital books from the West Virginia Digital Entertainment Library, just by opening the Sora link and adding our public library. (Ask a media assistant or Mr. Summers how).
YOU DO NOT NEED A LIBRARY CARD
You can check out our physical books for 21 days with up to 3 renewals.
Mr. Summers waives late fees if you turn in the book.
You can request books, go to our feedback page to do so.
The library is a great place to study and catch up on work--a pass from your teacher is required.
Library Policies
All are welcome in this space--you belong here.
We abide by all UHS policies and missions.
While cellphones are not currently banned in the library--if your class is in the library we follow your instructor's cellphone policies at all times.
At no time is photography of library patrons tolerable.
Respect all equipment and decorations in the library. Misuse may result in removal from the library and a write-up.
A hall pass should be made by your teacher before coming to the library.
No, you may not use the library bathroom.
Be kind to all in the library.
This is not always a quiet zone, but it is a study zone (inside voices y'all.)
Don't disrupt any instruction happening.
Absolutely no food may be brought from the cafeteria to the library!
I allow food and drink in the library, but I do not allow lunches in the library. We are not a second cafeteria, this space is intended to be a quiet, calm space for people to relax and get work done--maybe even read. It is not cafeteria overflow. Eat lunch, then come visit us.
