The mission of the MHS Writing Studio is to assist students in developing a solid foundation of writing skills through peer tutoring with highly trained tutors. The Studio is a judgement-free zone where students can receive quality individual feedback as they share their work in a comfortable environment. Studio tutors are prepared to provide feedback aligned with teacher expectations and rubrics on assignments from individual classes, college application and scholarship essays, personal creative writing, and more. We believe that the peer review process creates a productive struggle in which students can grow in confidence and creativity as they reach their full potential as writers.
