How to apply:
Visit access.wvu.edu/apply
Step 1: Online Application
Step 2: Upload high school transcript
Step 3: Enrollment Authorization Form
*Must have at least a 3.0 GPA to apply
*Access courses are taught at WVU in person or online by a WVU professor
*In person classes at WVU must have a start time of 1:30 or later unless given permission by MHS admin
*Access courses can be found on the website above
*These courses will be on your college transcript
Dual Enrollment
Follow the same steps listed above to apply for the following courses:
College Algebra/Trigonometry (additional application requirements: Aleks score of 45 or SAT math section of 540 or ACT math section of 22)
WVU College Biology
WVU College Chemistry (additional application requirements: Aleks score of 40 or SAT math section of 520 or ACT math section of 20)
WVU Economics
To apply to Dual Enrollment English 11 & 12:
Visit: https://admissions.potomacstatecollege.edu/apply/early-student
Step 1: Online Application
Step 2: Upload high school transcript
Step 3: Enrollment Authorization Form.
Dual Enrollment English 11 (must have passed accuplacer with score of 263 or higher)
Dual Enrollment English 12 (must have passed DE Eng 11)
To apply to Dual Enrollment Psychology:
Herd Academy with Marshall University
Visit: https://www.marshall.edu/herdacademy/
*Must have at least a 3.0 GPA to apply for all dual enrollment courses
*Dual Enrollment courses are taught at MHS by MHS faculty
*DE courses are for college credit and will go on high school and college transcripts
