ALL MCS Elementary Schools (grades 3-5) - TBD
ALL MCS Middle Schools (grades 6-8) - TBD
(State Window 4/13/26 - 5/22/26)
The Assessment for students grades 3-8 is completed entirely online.
The test is computer-adaptive, such that how a student answers one question may determine the follow-up question. This question bank is supplied by the testing vendor and will be supplemented by items designed by West Virginia Educators.
Students in grades 3-8 are assed on the following subjects over several calendar days, one test per day.
ELA - requires up to 2 days (1 day Reading & 1 day Writing)
Math - requires 1 day
Science (grades 5 & 8 only) - requires 1 day
Each tested segment is estimated to take the students approximately 2 hours to complete.
