This course prepares students for the Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture Examination in accordance with the curriculum and standards established by the College Board. Instruction follows a holistic approach to language learning, emphasizing the integrated development of interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication skills. Students strengthen vocabulary usage, language control, and cultural awareness through sustained exposure to authentic audio, visual, and written materials from the Spanish-speaking world. The course is conducted entirely in Spanish and promotes meaningful communication within culturally relevant contexts. The ACTFL Proficiency for this course is Advanced Low-Advanced Mid.Special Notes:

This course follows the College Board–approved curriculum for AP Spanish Literature and Culture. Students read and analyze selected works by Peninsular Spanish, Spanish American, and U.S. Hispanic authors from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. Instruction emphasizes literary analysis within sociohistorical contexts, critical interpretation, and analytical writing. All instruction is conducted in Spanish. The ACTFL Proficiency for this course is Advanced High.Special Notes:
