The AP Biology course is designed to be the equivalent of a college introductory biology course. This course will focus on the Four Big Ideas in Biology, which include the concepts of evolution, how living things use matter and energy to maintain homeostasis, how living systems store, retrieve and transmit information and how living systems interact to form complex emergent properties. Final approval depends on an evaluation of student’s performance in science classes and an interview with the department chairperson.Special Notes:
Students enrolled in this course are required to complete a summer assignment. Students in this course are required to take the Advanced Placement Exam; AP Exam fees will be processed through FACTS account.Page updated
