This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college mathematics. Topics covered will include: Functions - piecewise, exponential, logistic logarithmic and rational - analytic geometry, systems of nonlinear equations, matrix algebra, systems of linear equations, determinants and real-world applications (STEM).Special Notes:
All students are required to have a TI-Nspire CX handheld graphing calculator (TI-Nspire CAS model is not permitted).Precalculus with Trigonometry Honors

83 or higher in Algebra II Honors orless than 83 in Algebra II AdvancedCourse Description:
This Honors course is designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and vocabulary needed to prepare for Calculus Honors. Topics covered will include: polynomials, rational, logarithmic, exponential, and trigonometric functions and their applications, analytic trigonometry, analytic geometry and an introduction to calculus. Real world applications (STEM) will be incorporated into this course.Special Notes:
All students are required to have a TI-Nspire CX handheld graphing calculator (TI-Nspire CAS model is not permitted). This course is eligible for Dual Enrollment credit through St. Thomas University provided students meet the dual enrollment eligibility requirements.AP Precalculus

87 or higher in Algebra II AdvancedCourse Description:
This rigorous, accelerated course is designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and vocabulary needed to prepare for AP Calculus. Topics covered will include: polynomials, rational, logarithmic, exponential, and trigonometric functions and their applications, analytic trigonometry, analytic geometry, vectors, polar coordinates and an introduction to calculus. Real world applications (STEM) will be incorporated into this course.Special Notes:
All students are required to have a TI-Nspire CX handheld graphing calculator (TI-Nspire CAS model is not permitted). Students in this course are required to take the Advanced Placement Exam; AP Exam fees will be processed through FACTS account.Page updated
