Students are placed in the appropriate course level based on results on the Admissions Assessments.Course Description:
This course is the first in a four year mathematical program for college bound students. It concentrates on developing and reinforcing a solid foundation for future math courses. Topics covered include but are not limited to:Â domain and range, equations and inequalities in one variable, absolute value equations and inequalities in one variable, graphing lines and functions, systems of equations, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, roots and radicals, quadratic equations and real-world applications (STEM).Special Notes:
All freshmen are required to purchase a TI-Nspire CX handheld graphing calculator (TI-Nspire CAS model is not permitted).Prerequisites:

This accelerated course is an in-depth study of concepts taught in an Algebra I curriculum. Students will cover topics and build skills in preparation for future Honors math courses. Emphasis will be placed on a deeper understanding of the following topics: domain and range, equations and inequalities in one variable, absolute value equations and inequalities, graphing lines and functions, systems of equations, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, roots and radicals, quadratic equations, and real world applications (STEM).Special Notes:
