Successful completion of Health & Life Management SkillsCourse Description:
Students will acquire skills in first aid, emergency care, and personal safety. Students will demonstrate the use of first aid procedures for handling varied medical emergencies, ranging from minor to serious emergencies. Students will learn how to perform CPR and use the AED. Students will also learn of community resources that provide health and emergency medical services; as well as general knowledge of careers in public service, first aid, safety and emergency management.Special Notes:
Students are required to attend and pay a fee for a CPR/AED/First Aid certification.Prerequisites:

This course is intended as an overview of Sports Administration with an emphasis on management principles, including personnel management, fiscal management, marketing and promotion, fundraising, media relations, facility management and legal aspects. Various career paths are examined and particular attention is given to the development of verbal and written communication skills.Prerequisites:

This course is designed to develop the physical skills necessary to be competent in many forms of movement, knowledge of team sports concepts and appropriate social behaviors within a team or group setting. This course will review the history, rules and strategy of popular team sports.
