Our Lady of Lourdes Academy offers it's students two different avenues to earn college credit while still in high school. These courses afford students the opportunity to gain a competitive edge for college admissions, provide financial savings and exposure to college level expectations. The following is a guide to understanding the different college credit programs offered at OLLA.
AP courses are college-level courses taught at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy (OLLA) by (OLLA) teachers. At the end of the course, students are required to take an AP exam. Students take the AP course, a curriculum approved by the College Board, throughout the school year. The AP exams, scored on a scale of 1-5, are administered in May each year. Many colleges and universities grant college credit or advanced placement for scores of 3, 4, or 5, though policies vary by institution.

Dual Enrollment courses allow students to earn college credits in specific courses taken at OLLA. College credits are currently granted by Saint Thomas University and Marymount University. The college credits earned are recognized in the state of Florida by most colleges and universities as well as universities outside the state of Florida. Please note that each college or university establishes its own policies regarding the acceptance of dual enrollment credits. A student must receive a final grade of C or higher to be eligible to transfer the credit. Courses are open to juniors and seniors with an unweighted cum GPA of 3.0 or higher; freshmen and sophomores must have an unweighted cum GPA of 3.5 or higher.
