This honors course focuses on the basic principles of personal and interpersonal leadership by analyzing leadership and management at different levels. Emphasis will be on leadership styles, motivation, decision-making, time management, power structures, team building, conflict and crisis resolution, ethics, dealing with the change process, communication skills, and diversity issues in the workplace. Classroom teaching methods will include lecture, class discussion, videos, oral presentations, guest speakers, written assignments, and group projects. This class is encouraged for any student in a leadership position.Special Notes:
This class counts toward the Business Honor Society. This course is eligible for Dual Enrollment credit through St. Thomas University provided students meet the dual enrollment eligibility requirements.Page updated
