Meet the Owner

Hi everyone, my name is Kristle! I was born in Vietnam and raised in the Bay Area (California) by parents who immigrated from Vietnam. Growing up, I always loved to indulge in Asian treats such as chè, Vietnamese coffee and especially desserts with chewy tapioca pearls also known as Boba. After graduating from San Jose State University, I worked in a restaurant and coffee shop that my family owned. The more I surrounded myself with milk tea, the stronger my passion grew for it. I loved everything about it - from the aroma of the tea leaves, sweetness of different flavors and the texture of the Boba. The love for sweet treats has always been a strong passion of mine. I dreamt about running my own business - this is when Boba Bae Teahouse was born.

Growing up in the Bay Area, Asian-inspired drinks were an essential part of my life. It created many core memories that hold special value to me. Such as when I would take my 3 kids to get their favorite drinks after long days of soccer and cheerleading practice. The experiences of eating delicious treats and drinking Boba teas in the Bay Area inspired me to open a Boba tea house here in Port Charlotte, Florida. I wanted to introduce delicious beverages as a way to bring the community together. Bringing Boba to different parts of the world will give everyone a chance to enjoy something from a part of the world that they are not familiar with. They may realize that without trying new things, they are missing out on a lot.
