Project Mayhem is Boardman High Schools rock orchestra.  

The Boardman Orchestra has had a long history of success in the world of classical music.  With over 40 consecutive state superior ratings under their belt it was time to expand on the offerings within the program.

With the growing popularity of groups like TSO and improvements in electric instrument technology it made sense to add a rock group to our offerings. 

In 2006, we started with strings from our chamber orchestra and added a guitar, drummer, and keyboard.   We were unsure how this group would be received, but we were pleasantly surprised to open to a crowd of over 1,000.  

Since that first year we have added more guitars, more keyboards and vocals to the orchestra.  We have also added lasers and other visual components to the show.   This has made the annual Project Mayhem show one of the most popular shows on the BHS concert calendar and has help sell out Boardman Performing Arts Center since 2013!  We are proud to continue to bring this high energy entertainment to our community each year.
