Use of Facilities
Thank you for your interest in our facilities.
The Blue Mountain School District encourages community use of school facilities when such use is in the public interest, does not conflict with school activities or safety, and is not detrimental to the purpose of schools.

Please note: The school district requires a Certificate of Insurance to be uploaded before a request can be created. The amount of insurance should be a minimum of $1,000,000 and name Blue Mountain School District as additional insured. Users shall be financially liable for damage to the facilities and for proper chaperonage as required by the school district administration.

The first step to submit a facility request is to create an ML Schedules user account. Click on the button above to register. Be sure to complete all the information fields and then click the submit button. If your registration is successful you will receive an email confirmation.

GUIDELINES
Please complete all required information on the online application. Use the notes section for any set-up needs not covered within the request form fields.
The school district requires a Certificate of Insurance to be uploaded before a request can be created. Users shall be financially liable for damage to the facilities and for proper chaperonage as required by the school district administration.
Payment for facility use, personnel or equipment fees, if applicable, must be received prior to the event taking place. Checks must be made payable to Blue Mountain School District and sent to: 685 Red Dale Rd. Orwigsburg, PA 17961 Attn: Facilities.
Your group or organization may be asked to reschedule your event or relocate to a different building based on the needs of the school district; should extenuating circumstances arise. School district events always have priority.
Your organization is responsible to return the facility as you found it (clean up trash, etc.). If custodial help is required to clean up the facility after your use, your organization will be billed for this time at the rate of $45.00 per hour.
Smoking, use of tobacco products and/or illegal drugs and alcohol are prohibited on all school property (indoor & outdoor).
Please make certain participants in your rental are supervised at all times and do not go into unauthorized areas.
If requesting use of our High School auditorium and you require use of the stage lights and sound system, a district-employed technician is needed to operate it. Fees for this will be added to your total invoice and this need should be included when you complete the request form.
On days when school is cancelled or dismissed early because of unexpected circumstances (i.e. severe weather), all rental activities are cancelled.
The High School “new” gymnasium is not available for rent by external requesters.
Emergency Procedure Information:
It is the responsibility of each user to familiarize themselves with the facility at which they will be holding their event. This familiarization shall include but not be limited to: identification and knowledge of the entrances to the facility, review of the location of the exits both in the location being used and the location as a whole; consideration of an exit plan for the user’s staff & participants in case of emergency, location of AEDs within the facility, general parking, handicapped parking, loading areas, etc.
