Blue Mountain School District
The Blue Mountain School District’s school psychologists are part of the team of people who help our students succeed academically, social-emotionally, and behaviorally. School psychologists utilize their specialized training and expertise to assist in addressing the wide variety of needs that students and families face today. Through consultation, counseling, observation, and assessment, school psychologists are able to problem-solve, develop interventions, and determine the effectiveness of the interventions.
The school psychologists take active roles on various teams in each building, including the pre-referral teams (Child Study Team), Student Assistance Teams, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Teams. They also play a vital role in the evaluation process of students with disabilities. Specific services provided are based on a collaborative effort among parents, school personnel, and school psychologists.
