YOUNG RESEARCHERS' MEET - 2022

Young Researchers' Meet (YRM), one of the Flagship events of the IEEE Power and Energy Society Bangalore Section, aims to offer a forum for bringing together young promising graduate students and researchers, as well as industry experts and intellectuals from around the country, in order to instill in the next generation a desire to play a significant part in scientific development in the domain of Power System Automation. It features a broad range of events such as panel discussions, workshops, seminars, focused sessions, etc. All activities will be mentored by highly skilled and experienced professionals. This would provide a forum for interactive discussions and deliberations, as well as an opportunity for you to express your ideas.

The theme for The Young Researchers' Meet 2022 is Power System Automation. Electrical engineering in power and automation deals with the automated generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electric power and the electrical devices connected to such systems including generators, motors and transformers. Power-system automation includes processes associated with generation and delivery of power.

We take immense pleasure in inviting you for the Young Researchers' Meet 2022 which will be hosted by the BMSCE IEEE Power and Energy Society and Sensors Council, one of the largest student chapters of IEEE PES. We strive to establish an atmosphere that encourages students to gain knowledge not only in the field of Power Energy System but also in a varied collection of domains. It has been effective in not only intriguing students in the field of technical activities but also in having them actively participate in the events organized.

The venue of YRM '22 is BMS College of Engineering which is one of the top ranked colleges in Karnataka and it is one of very few colleges from the pre-independence era. It is an autonomous institute under affiliation of Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology. It is situated in Basavanagudi, the heart of Bangalore. The faculties and mentors from BMSCE are highly skilled and experienced in mentoring students from almost every domain. It is accredited with the highest grade A++ by NAAC. BMSCE has a lot of experience in hosting huge technical events like YRM, Student Congress, International Conferences, etc.
