Developing Fine motor skills
Learners practiced phonics sounds through a multisensory approach to strengthen their fine motor skills. These engagements enhanced eye - hand coordination and tactile awareness. These activities also made learning interactive and enjoyable while improving precision in hand movements, grip control, and dexterity.
Object Counting
Learners participated in an interactive object counting activity using a dice and a basket. This hands-on task encouraged active participation and helped them develop number recognition, counting skills and one-to-one correspondence. The element of play based learning helped learner build the fine motor skills, focus and problem-solving abilities. Through this enjoyable experience, learners not only practiced early math concepts but also gained confidence in applying them independently in a fun and engaging manner.

This hands-on experience encouraged them to make mindful eating choices and understand the value of a balanced diet in their daily lives.
Story Telling!
Our enthusiastic learners participated in a story sequencing activity, where they arranged the events of a story 'The very hungry caterpillar' in the correct order. This engaging exercise helped them enhance their comprehension, logical thinking and recall skills. The activity not only strengthened their reading and sequencing abilities but also made learning fun and interactive through teamwork and storytelling.

The activity strengthened the home–school connection while promoting teamwork, participation and the joy of learning through real-life experiences. It was a delightful blend of taste, health and creativity.
Diwali Decoration with Learners
To celebrate the festival of lights, our learners actively engaged in a Diwali Decoration Activity where they explored, created and shared their own ideas. Following the constructivist approach, students took charge of their learning by designing diyas, rangolis and lanterns using various materials of their choice. This hands-on experience encouraged them to express their creativity, collaborate with peers and construct their understanding of the festival’s cultural and traditional importance.
As a part of the celebration, learners also initiated a thoughtful act by bringing sweets and snacks for the school’s ancillary staff, spreading happiness and learning the value of empathy and community service.
Through this meaningful experience, they constructed knowledge through sharing and reflecting, truly embodying the spirit of Diwali by spreading light, joy and kindness all around.

Nurturing Global Learners at BMCS!
At BMCS, learning is not confined to the walls of a classroom, it’s a journey filled with curiosity, creativity and compassion. Through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), we strive to create an environment where every child feels inspired to explore, think, question and grow. Our goal is to nurture lifelong learners who are not only knowledgeable but also caring, reflective, and responsible global citizens.
The Learner Profile Attributes are at the heart of everything we do at BMCS. These ten attributes, being Inquirers, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, and Reflective - guide our learners in developing the qualities needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. In everyday learning experiences, students inquire deeply into real-world issues, express their ideas with confidence, demonstrate empathy and respect toward others. Each classroom experience becomes an opportunity to live these attributes whether it’s through teamwork, discussions or acts of kindness.
Alongside the Learner Profile, the Approaches to Learning (ATL) empower our students with essential life skills. They include thinking, research, communication, social, and self-management skills, which help learners take ownership of their learning process. At BMCS, students don’t just learn facts - they learn how to learn. They collaborate, plan, investigate and reflect on their understanding, building confidence and independence at every step.
Together, these two pillars — Learner Profile Attributes and Approaches to Learning — form the foundation of the IB PYP framework at BMCS. They encourage students to see connections between subjects, understand different perspectives and take meaningful action within their community.
At BMCS, we believe that education is not only about academic growth but also about shaping character, empathy and purpose. Our learners are encouraged to dream big, act responsibly and make a difference — both within and beyond the school.
In essence, the journey of learning at BMCS is about lighting the spark within every child — to think deeply, care sincerely, and lead wisely. Because at BMCS, we don’t just teach for today; we nurture learners for life.
At BMCS, we’re delighted to celebrate the birthdays of two remarkable women who lead with vision, compassion, and purpose — Ms. Yashvi Jain, our dynamic Director and Ms. Evelyn Jones, our dedicated PYP Coordinator! 🌟
Ms. Yashvi’s inspiring leadership and unwavering commitment guide our community toward excellence every single day. Her passion for education and belief in nurturing young minds make BMCS a place where dreams truly take flight. ✨
Ms. Evelyn, with her thoughtful mentorship and creative approach, continues to enrich our PYP journey with innovation, care and a love for learning that inspires both teachers and students alike. 💫
Together, they embody the heart and soul of BMCS — leading with wisdom, warmth, and a vision that uplifts everyone around them.
