DIRECTOR’S NOTES FOR WEEK OF NOVEMBER 3RD-7TH:
All cast, crew, CSA & student directors are called every day this week!
Please remember there are no conflicts during Show Week!
All cast members should bring in their ditty bags, show shoes, socks, tights, etc.

REMINDER OF SHOW WEEK DETAILS! All these dates and times were given in August:
M. Nov. 3rd Final Dress Rehearsal - 3:10-8:30 pm
Cast, bring your Ben Nye makeup kit for the final dress rehearsal!
All will be here for the full time.
Cast will get into costume, hair & makeup. The crew will set up; CSA will be baking! Then we will have our Pizza Party!
Tech crew will wear black for the final dress rehearsal & shows!
CSA will wear black pants and white shirts with hair back
We will run the full show! We should be done by 8:30pm.
T.. Nov. 4th, is our opening night with a 6:30pm curtain!
All cast, crew and CSA will go home after school
Call time is 5 pm for all Cast, Crew & CSA.
They should eat dinner before they return (only water is allowed in the dressing rooms)
Cast members should arrive with makeup & hair already done.
Crew in blacks, and CSA in black pants and white shirts, hair back
W. Nov. 5th This will be our matinee day- 7:30am-3pm
All cast, crew and CSA will go home after school
Call time for all Cast, Crew & CSA will be 7:30 am
We will be doing two performances for the student body AND 5th grade students from CHE & LVE!
Cast members should arrive with makeup & hair already done.
Crew in blacks and CSA in show shirts
We should end our afternoon show around 2:30pm. After all is cleaned up they all go home at 3pm and get lots of rest and sleep!
TH Nov. 6th is an evening show with a 6:30pm curtain!
All cast, crew and CSA will go home after school
Call time is 5 pm for all Cast, Crew & CSA.
They should eat dinner before they arrive (only water is allowed in the dressing rooms)
Cast members should arrive with makeup & hair already done.

F. Nov. 8th is our final show and then STRIKE!
All cast, crew and CSA will go home after school
Call time is 5 pm for all Cast, Crew & CSA.
They should eat dinner before they arrive (only water is allowed in the dressing rooms)
Cast members should arrive with makeup & hair already done.
Crew in blacks and CSA in black pants and white shirts, hair pulled back
All cast, crew & CSA stay, turn in costumes and help clean up by doing their assigned jobs that will be listed everywhere for them on Friday!
We love to have parents come up on stage and help us with striking the set. Bring a screw gun, check in with Shelbie and/or Diamond first!

All cast and crew need to be picked up at the Commons doors on the main entrance side of the school for safety please. Kids should be ready to pick up about 9pm on show nights. It might be later on Tuesday, but they should have a faster pace of the show by Thursday. ;)

Hello Theatre Families!
It's so hard to believe that Tech Week is here! This is the time that we ALL come together to layer on all the pieces that will make this show a success!
As stated in our August Audition and Information packet, Director's notes, emails home, etc. Tech and Show week are the weeks that we need everyone here the whole time!
We appreciate your continued support in this! Below are Director's Notes for this week! And we will have hard copies to hand out.

These kids are working SO HARD to get this production ready. We are so impressed by their work ethic and kindness!
There is no rehearsal this coming Friday October 10th due to no school.

It is SO important that all cast members are attending the rehearsals they are called to. If unsure when to attend check: detailed rehearsal schedule, the callboard, the theatre website, ask an AR, Jr. Thespian Officer or a student director.
We continue detailing the show. Cast please be rehearsing your lines at home with your blocking, so you can have them memorized. A helpful app for studying lines is Scene Study:

We do have change wars each show for a fun challenge where the kids can put their change in a tub for their team. The team with the most change wins a cookie cake for the reunion party day!

We are so excited that we have finished our 2nd week of rehearsals! The kids are doing great and having fun! 😀
Please check your rehearsal schedule to assure you are attending ALL the rehearsals you are called to.
Parents, we like to hear directly from you on attendance matters. If your cast, crew or CSA member will be absent from a scheduled rehearsal or if they will be late or need to leave early, and it wasn’t listed on their conflicts, please email Allie Mason ammason02@bluevalleyk12.org.
We will have our Jr. Thespians / Theatre Club meeting from 3:10-3:40 on Tuesday, September 16th and October 7th. All PRMS students are welcome! Rehearsals will end at 5:30 pm on that day. Detailed Rehearsal Schedule for Cast:
Please sit with your child and go over the rehearsal schedule.
Mark your calendar for the days they are called to rehearsal.
Highlight your name and character name(s) on the cast list. n
Find your character name in the script and highlight all of the lines you have and the page numbers you are on. (Quite a few lines and/or character names are written in the stage directions, please make sure to read all of those as well.)
Look at the detailed rehearsal schedule and highlight all of the days of rehearsal that we are rehearsing your pages.
For each rehearsal, cast members should bring their script (which should have their name on it), their cast list and a pencil. Their script should be kept in a three-ring binder with their other items. Please don’t use the Blue script book if you received one of those. There are changes in the copies.
Tech Crew will meet on their assigned day of Tuesday, Thursday, OR Friday from 3:10-5:10pm.
CSA will come each TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY prior to Tech Week from 3:10-5:10 pm.
All cast, crew and CSA need to be picked up no later than 10 minutes after the end of their scheduled time at the Commons doors on the main entrance side of the school.
All Tech Crew need to wear clothes and closed-toe shoes they can get dirty in, since they will be building and painting! They can keep these items in a bag backstage with their name on it if they would like to do so.
Please make sure all your forms have been filled out and fees paid on SCHOOL CASH. You can go to our theatre website (link above) and click on the links to fill them out and pay if you haven’t yet.
Scholarships are available for all who need them! Contact Ms. Shute at kshute@bluevalleyk12.org if your child needs to have their participation/costume fees covered by a scholarship.
